This book was my entry for Designer Bookbinders first International Bookbinding Competition. It won an award for being "one of the Best 25". The set book was a special limited edition (about 500) of a collection of poems on the subject of water. My binding showed an arrangement of domestic water pipes and taps, labeled in brass with the names of original sources of water, sea, rivers, rain, etc. Bound in black calf, with pipes made from dyed calf on a framework of timber dowels and clay. The winning books were exhibited at the Bodleian Library, before being shown in three galleries in America.
